Nice to chat this morning! My work is not related directly to forensic science but it really is a fascinating area of study!
Forensic science has aspects of science, law and politics. I just did a quick google search and found this course at the Uni of Western Sydney: http://future.uws.edu.au/ug/forensics/bachelor_of_science_forensic_science
Its a 3 year course and it says the ATAR for entry is about 80. I am sure there are many other courses available and you should ask your teachers and search for it online too.
I would imagine that after your course you would need to go though additional training on the job or with specialists in the field.
