Question: when doing an experiment on epigenics What do you do with left-over samples?

  1. Hi awesomekid,

    Yet another awesome question!;)

We work a lot with patient samples from cancer surgery and these samples are EXTREMELY precious! for every sample we get we have so many ideas to test that we very quickly run out of sample so there is NEVER any sample left over.

Sometimes though it is important to keep at least a tiny slither of the sample in case we need to go back to it later. These samples are normally stored in huge -80 degree freezers that have a really strict filing system and emergency alarms so if there is a power failure, there is always someone to save the precious samples.

    Hope that helps!
