Hi xcath1x,
The depth of the ocean varies a lot, but the deepest point of the ocean is in the Pacific Ocean in a region called the Mariana Trench. The deepest point in the Mariana Trench is called Challenger Deep and is over 11 kilometres deep!
… and 11 km downwards through water is nothing like 11 km on a road. It’s pitch dark 11km down, and the water pressure would kill people instantly: about the same as 500 jumbo jets pressing down on every square metre!
