Hi andipandi,
I’ve learnt quite a few interesting things through the I’m a Scientist activity, actually, as well as reading about a few things.
One of my favourites is that some biologists and physicists have produced a laser beam using human cells that have been made to glow using a jellyfish protein: http://www.nature.com/news/2011/110612/full/news.2011.365.html
Lots of interesting science happens all the time!
