Yes! of course. I don’t know of anyone who has ever worked in a vet clinic who has not adopted at least one homeless creature!
I have a dog called “Milo”, he’s a 10yo boxer who we adopted as a 3yo when his family had to move. We also have “Beetle”, a black and white cat who was surrendered when he got sick as a kitten – he had an almond stuck in his intestines! We should have known that was the first sign that he would be a rascal! He’s a complete character – he was born only with one ear and sadly he’s now going blind even though he’s only 7, so he is kept inside for safety reasons. Beetle is definitely the boss of the house. I also have 2 fish (who are rather quite glad that beetle is going blind!)
I have a welsh corgi (the queen’s dog) called Wembley who is just over 4 years old. Like all Corgis, he has very big ears and REALLY short legs, in fact when he lies down he looks like he doesn’t have any legs at all – which is pretty funny (and also pretty cute). He gets the run of the house during the day (expect our bedroom, ‘cos he’s a bit too fond of our bedspread!), and pretty much thinks he owns the house. What I love about having a dog is that you can get home after a really bad day , where you experiment has failed completely, your computer’s died and you split coffee on your favourite shirt and all you feel like doing collapsing into bed, and when you open the front door your dog run up the hallway to meet you, and be so excited that your home and suddenly everything that happened that day doesn’t seem so bad after all!
Yes – I have a dog called Molly. She is a Jack Russell x that we got when we lived in canberra….she loves going for walks, esp to Unley oval where can play with all the other dogs!

No, but I have a shortlist of what I would like (in a dream world):
– A pika (http://www.cpaws-southernalberta.org/events/pics/coffey-pika-large.jpg)
or
– A kookaburra
or
– A pine marten (http://www.bio.davidson.edu/people/vecase/behavior/Spring2007/Martens/pine_marten.jpg)
