That’s a good question and I guess there are lots of positive outcomes to the prize money:
1. It helps you guys to understand an aspect of science better, and hopefully start asking and finding out new stuff too.
2. I love sharing what we do in cancer research because it helps when more and more people are aware of its importance, for several reasons like they become involved and donate blood, or tissues for research, or they donate money to help us carry on the research.
3. It is a great feeling when you can share your work and give people more understanding of biology and diseases that affect so many people.
