Question: Can you explain the genetics and evolution of skin color? Is skin color useful for grouping people into ethnic groups?

    Hi awesomekid,

    I’m not too sure about this one 🙁

    I know that skin colour is controlled by the presence of melanin and the cells that produce melanin, called melanocytes. But, I don’t know the history of how different races evolved and what made the melanocytes different in different parts of the world.
