Question: how do you get all your infomation about food

  1. Hi jess,

That’s actually really hard! Mainly because EVERYONE has an opinion about food and are very happy to write / talk / advise on it even if what they are saying is wrong!

So, that’s part of the training to become a scientist – you learn to sort out the good bits of info from the bad bits of info. Taking the advice of people you trust and people with proper training and experience can help you to sort it out.

So, in answer to your question, I read lots of stuff that includes newspaper articles and scientific articles and I decide what makes ‘sense’ considering what I know about science and the human body. The more you read, the more you get to pick out those bits that just don’t sound right.

    Hope that helps 🙂
