Question: Is there any difference between plant and animal DNA, for example, in structure, chemistry, function, or nomenclature?

  1. Well the basic structure of DNA is the same – the double helix that is made up of pairs of nucleotides is the same for all DNA. Its the order of the nucleotides (the letters) that make up the code that is different.

Also, the number of chromosomes is different. One thing to note… objects like cars do not have DNA, despite recent car ads claiming this (using metaphors).
